In vivo pharmacokinetics and in vitro-in vivo correlation of silymarin phospholipid complex microporous osmotic pump controlled-release tablets in beagle dogs / 药学实践杂志

Objective To evaluate the release characteristics in vitro, pharmacokinetics in rabbits and in vivo-in vitro correlation of silymarin phospholipid complex microporous osmotic pump controlled release tablets（SM-PC MPOP）. Methods The release characteristics of SM-PC MPOP in vitro were detected by HPLC in the artificial gastric fluid. Six beagle dogs were subjected to double cycle cross control, which were given SM-PC MPOP and Legalon（30 mg/kg）. The concentration of silybin in plasma was determined by HPLC and the data were processed by software. Results The cumulative release rate of SM-PC MPOP in vitro was over 85% in 12 h. The pharmacokinetics in beagle dogs showed that SM-PC MPOP and legalon conformed to double compartment first-order absorption model and the pharmacokinetic parameters were obtained: tmax:（3.2±0.4）and（0.9±0.1）h, Cmax:（0.298 6±0.068 9）and（0.629 9±0.076 5）μg/ml, AUC0→24:（2.996 8±0.583 3）and（2.268 9±0.432 8）h·μg /ml. The relative bioavailability of SM-PC MPOP was（162.21 ± 30.82）%. Conclusion SM-PC MPOP could release slowly, which could increase the relative bioavailability significantly. The correlation between the absorption in vivo and release in vitro was fine（r = 0.839 0）.

Quality Standard for Compound Yinchen Mixture / 中国药师

Objective:To establish the quality standard for compound Yinchen mixture. Methods:A TLC method was used to i-dentify Artemisiae scopariae Herba,Gardeniae Fructus, and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma in the mixture. An HPLC method was used to quan-titatively analyze the concentration of chlorogenic acid and geniposide. Results:The TLC spots were clear without any interference the negative control. The linear range of chlorogenic acid was 0. 04-0. 20 mg·ml-1 ,and that of geniposide was 0. 05-0. 25 mg·ml-1 . The average recovery of chlorogenic acid was 94. 4% with RSD of 1. 85%, and that of geniposide was 102. 2% with RSD of 1. 15%( n=6). Conclusion:The method is accurate,reliable,specific and reproducible,which can be used for the quality control of compound Yinchen mixtures.

Progress on solid self-microemulsifying drug delivery system for oral administration / 药学实践杂志

Objective To review the newly developed solid self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (S-SMEDDS).Meth-ods Relevant literatures at home and abroad in recent years were consulted and summarized .Results Solid self-microemulsions car-rier, solidification technology and controlled release formulations were discussed , in order to provide relevant references for improving the bioavailability of water-insoluble drugs and the SMEDDS technology for drug release characteristics .Conclusion The utilization of the solid self-emulsifying drug delivery system could significantly enhance the oral bioavailability of water -insoluble drugs .As a new formulation, S-SMEDDS presented huge potential .

Mechanism of nanostructured lipid carriers in promotion of absorption of poorly soluble drugs / 药学实践杂志

Objective Nano-structured lipid carriers ( NLC) is a concerned research area in pharmaceutics , which as a novel drug delivery system to promote oral absorption of poorly soluble drugs .The literatures were reviewed to explore and summarize the mechanism that nano-structured lipid carriers in promotion of the absorption of poorly soluble drugs .

Treatment of old osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures with Sky bone expander percutane-ous kyphoplasty / 中华创伤杂志

Objective To discuss the clinical effect of Sky bone expander percutaneous ky-pbeplasty (Sky-PKP) in treatment of old osteoperotic vertebral compression fractures. Methods The study involved 27 patients (27 vertebrae) with old osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures treated by Sky-PKP from March 2005 to June 2007. Normotopia, lateral and dynamia radiographs, CT scanning and MRI were performed preoperatively to verify fluid collection in the vertebral body, vacuum phenomenon and open-close phenomenon. Visual analog scale (VAS), Oswestry disability index (ODI), anterior body height, middle line body height, posterior body height and kyphotic angle changes were measured on a lateral radiograph before and after treatment. Results All patients were followed up for mean 6.2 months, which showed no severe complications. VAS score was decresed from preoperative 7.8 to postop-erative 3.1 and ODI from 65% to 37%. However, The anterior vertebral height and middle line vertebral height were recovered for 4.6 nun and 5.7 mm respectively compared with preoperation. Correction of ky-photic angle was mean 5.6°postoperatively. There was no sitatistical changes in regard to posterior body height before and after operation. Conclusions Sky-PKP is a reasonable procedure for treatment of old osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures under strict control of indications, especially with vacuum phenomenon, open-close phenomenon and fluid collection. While high degree of difficulty in puncturation results in insignificant correction of kyphotic angle and body height.

Study on the Quality Standard of Xiaoyao Effervescent Tablets / 中药新药与临床药理

Objective To establish the quality standard for Xiaoyao Effervescent Tablets.Methods Radix Paeoniae Alba,Radix Angelicae Sinensis,Radix Bupleuri and Radix Glycyrrhizae in the tables were identified by TLC.Paeoniflorin content was determined by HPLC.Results Radix Paeoniae Alba,Radix Angelicae Sinensis,Radix Bupleuri and Radix Glycyrrhizae could be identified by TLC,and the identification was highly specific without interference.The linear range of paeoniflorin was 0.082 ? g～ 1.025 ? g.The average recovery was 100.44 %(RSD=2.37 %).Conclusion The method is simple,reliable,and accurate,and can be used for the quality control of Xiaoyao Effervescent TabLets.
